The philosophy of Dr Spiller Biocosmetics is to learn from nature, to observe how our skin works, to be gentle with it and to replicate the functions of healthy skin as closely as possible. Vitamins, anti-oxidants and a host of other skin-friendly active ingredients with proven efficacy, delivered to the skin in a superior emulsion system – an ideal solution for optimal results.

Are these preparations natural?
Dr Spiller Biocosmetics incorporate natural or nature-identical ingredients wherever possible yet we don’t claim for our emulsions to be ‘natural’. This term has been widely misused for marketing purposes, to the point where the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration is contemplating its restriction.

On the other hand, the word ‘bio-cosmetic’ indicates that our emulsions work in a ‘bio-logical’ way. We aim to reproduce the conditions found in healthy skin. A poignant example is the skin’s acid mantle which is known to be a Water-in-Oil emulsion of sebum and water – just as Dr Spiller Biocosmetics are Water-in-Oil emulsions of lipids and water.
